Hughes Family Practice is a local GP owned practice operating in Hughes for over fifty years. Dr Jackie Moss, Dr Michelle Hart and Dr Ying Chow are our co-principals having taken over the ownership of the practice from Dr Michelle Barrett and Dr Patrick O’Callaghan in late 2024. The principals are committed to continuing the true family practice ethos for many years to come.

Whilst retaining the original building, the practice has undergone various extensive renovations through recent years.   The practice offers a modern suite of facilities that meet the demands of everyday practice and RACGP Accreditation standards. The practice has always prided itself in being a true family practice and as such is proud to count many three generation families and even a few four generation families amongst our current patients.

For nearly 20 years the practice has been involved in the teaching and support of medical students and GP registrars in association with the ANU Medical School and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Currently, with eleven GP’s and three practice nurses, the practice provides a wide range of services to patients of all ages.  Our full range of services can be accessed here.
